Lake Kegonsa - 01/14/2006

In December 2005, we had a ton of snow in southern Wisconsin...but by the middle of January, the snow was gone. Even better for hiking, the temperatures started creeping above freezing, and on January 14, 2006, I was able to hit the trail at Lake Kegonsa with temperatures in the mid-30s. I wasn't setting any land speed records on this Saturday, but I was certainly enjoying the fresh, cool air--and the relatively dry trails.
