I arrived in London early in the afternoon on Sunday, June 25. I only had two days to see the sights, so after figuring out where I was within the city and how to ride the Underground, I set off for a couple of walking tours on June 26. Sadly, my time in London ended at 11:00 on June 27, when I took the Gatwick Express train to the airport.

factoid

The flag of the United Kingdom is comprised of a blue field with the red cross of Saint George (patron saint of England) edged in white superimposed on the diagonal red cross of Saint Patrick (patron saint of Ireland), which is superimposed on the diagonal white cross of Saint Andrew (patron saint of Scotland). It is properly known as the Union Flag, but commonly called the Union Jack.
