Washington DC 2003
It's the nation's capital--and a city of spies, at least according to the
International Spy Museum. Washington, D.C., is one of my favorite cities to
visit. Museums, brewpubs, an easy-to-use subway system, and the overall
feeling of something big happening always make the city exciting.
Since this is my sixth trip to Washington, I didn't take a lot of pictures
because I've already got pictures of so many different things. A few selections
are available at right.
The real reason I went to Washington, though, was to attend the annual dinner
and membership meeting of the U.S. Senate Youth Alumni Association, of which I am
the Northern Regional Director, and to welcome students and help at the mentoring
tables on arrival day for the 41st U.S. Senate Youth Program. I was fortunate
enough to be selected to attend the program in 1990, and I enjoy helping the alumni
association continue its mission.
